Google Apps Free Edition Closed ! What’s next ?

Google Apps free edition is shutting down from today Dec 06, 2012 ! This is the official news and recently announced by Google. Till today, Google has served Google apps free edition including email, docs, drives, up to 10 email account with 10 GB of email storage space. Even you are allowed to create your official company email address such as info@yourcompanywebsite.com . But, after terminated registrations of Google apps free version account, you are no longer allowed to create a new free account of Google apps. Current users of Google apps free version are only able to use its free services up to 10 email accounts with limited services and no support. On other side, new registrations of free version are closed too. In result of this update from Google, lots of webmasters might switch on to Google Business account, who are willing to continue their business with Google Apps. However, Google apps free version is secure too and thousands of individuals and companies has used it, but now Google says “No more !”.

Updates for Google Apps Free Edition(Standard Edition) Users:

There is nothing new for existing users of Google apps free version. They still can have an access and use it, even its closed by Google. However, you can upgrade to Google apps business version, and there will be option for you to downgrade (Switch to free version again) anytime until January 9, 2013.

New Registration of Google Apps Free Version :

From now December 06 2012, You can’t register you Google apps account as free user. If you’re non-profit organization or Education institute, you can try Google Apps for Nonprofit and Education. As before, Google Apps for Education will be available as free service from Google.

If you’re interested to register an account of Google apps business version, you can do it by signing up there. You will get 30 day trial period of Google apps business version, at the end of the trial period either you need to make payment to continue or cancel your account.
